We can do this together
Feeling overwhelmed and trying to find balance, going through a challenging transition, OR navigating singleness or issues in your relationship(s)? You may need a listening ear and someone to give you another perspective. I enjoy helping adults affirm their identity and personality, find belonging, and process difficult emotions. I also provide pre-marital counseling and I love working with couples in their early years of marriage.
I’m a licensed psychologist and Christian counselor. I openly discuss issues of faith and spirituality with those who wish to include it as part of the therapy process. My approach is client centered and collaborative. I focus on guiding you to where you want to go while identifying what is helpful and not helpful.
My areas of interest include life transitions, emerging adulthood, self-worth and identity concerns, mood disorders including bipolar disorder, navigating pressure and boundaries, finding purpose, deepening understanding in relationships, multicultural concerns, and faith issues. I have experience with college students, working adults including those in graduate school, and elderly individuals navigating aging-related issues. I also do couples and family counseling and I do workshops in churches/organizations.
My work has also been informed by my background in public health, working in geriatric facilities, and my experiences with people while living in places including African countries (Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana), El-Salvador, France, and multiple U.S. states.
